Born and raised in the South, Cara made the decision to venture from lawyer to real estate brokerage in 2005. The real estate industry was a great compliment to her entrepreneurial spirit influenced by her grandparents and mother. Within her first two years as a commercial agent, she earned a top sales award for over $2 million in annual sales and obtained her Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
During her first few years as an agent, Cara assisted developers in tax credit syndications to develop properties and land with Louisiana state tax credits issued as a result of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Her first few weeks as an agent were spent brokering deals without any electricity due to the aftermath of the storm. She developed a great work ethic and dependability for her clients who were operating with little to no resources to get back on their feet.
After several years in the commercial real estate industry, she joined a boutique real estate brokerage focusing on high-end residential properties and condo developments in downtown New Orleans. With the film industry booming in the city, she also assisted high profile actors, producers and directors looking for luxury, furnished rentals during filming.
After building a successful real estate business and earning her associate broker’s license, Cara decided it was time for her next adventure and moved out west to Utah in 2017. After starting up her own fitness studio in Sandy, Utah, she joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in November 2020 to continue her real estate career.
From her experience on complex commercial deals to high profile residential clientele, Cara’s engaging personality is prepared to accommodate various deal settings. She has worked in numerous, high pressure market situations with the ability to advise her clients strategically. Cara loves spending time with her golden doodle, hiking, camping & snowboarding.
